The amount of people who still go Technological Ascendancy first perk is disturbing honestly. Can sometimes switch in the 8 slot if one of those is needed earlier. Master Builders comes into play if i can't get living metal or ascension theory don't show up. I normally take Feudal Society as one of my civics, so shared destiny is only an option if this is not possible for reasons. I normally have a lot of vassals either split of from myself to keep planet count below 10 or convinced neighbours by diplomacy. In case of slot 6 it's depending on the game situation. But i was surprised how much fun i actually had with mercenaries and so Lord of war took that place pretty fast. ![]() Teachers of the Shroud origin is of course my default start from now on.
